The following is the Agreement between Aucster™ and everyone who utilizes the Aucster.com website. By participating in Aucster services you indicate your acceptance of this Agreement and your consent to be bound by it. Our terms for participation in our services is as follows:
Aucster operates as a personal identity verification and criminal background check service for eBay® users. Aucster helps prevent auction fraud by using independent researchers to manually confirm individual identities. A verified eBay® user is awarded a seal for display on eBay® auction listings and eBay® About Me pages. Each seal links to a member profile displaying verified personal contact details.
WHO CAN APPLY
Aucster membership is open to US applicants only. Applicants must be registered eBay® members in good standing.
HOW TO APPLY
Each applicant is required to submit accurate contact information subject to manual verification by an assigned researcher. Your first year of membership fees are due in advance.
Applicants can download the verification packet provided upon registration. This serves as an opportunity to verify the applicant's address and will include instructions to complete the verification process.
VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
(1) PROOF OF VERIFIABLE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT-ISSUED IDENTITY DOCUMENT IS REQUIRED.
Acceptable documents include:
• Valid state-issued driver's license
• Valid state-issued ID
THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION MUST MATCH THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS ON THE IDENTITY DOCUMENT.
(2) PROOF OF PRIMARY RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED.
Acceptable documents include:
• Current utility bill showing name and address of applicant
• Current mortgage note or real estate deed showing name and address of applicant
Your documentation must be valid and current. Expiration of your documentation at any time will result in suspension of your Aucster account. Accounts are periodically monitored for accuracy throughout the life of your membership.
(3) CLEAR CRIMINAL HISTORY.
Each applicant will undergo a nationwide criminal background check. To be approved for membership your record must be free from any charges or fraud or related criminal activity, at Aucster's discretion.
VERIFICATION PROCESS
Upon receipt of documents as outlined in your verification packet, Aucster researchers will manually investigate and confirm the information submitted. You will receive email confirmation upon verification and your membership status and profile will be updated. ALLOW ONE TO TWO WEEKS FROM SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION FOR A FINAL DECISION REGARDING YOUR MEMBERSHIP.
DENIAL OF MEMBERSHIP
We will make every attempt to verify the information you provide. Should your application be denied for any reason, you will be refunded the cost of your prepaid membership less a $20 processing fee. This refund will be provided within thirty (30) days and in the same form payment was originally received.
Your first annual membership fee is due in advance. The current cost of membership is $49.95 per year. Payments are processed by PayPal.com. You agree to abide by PayPal's own User Agreement.
Members are required to maintain accurate business data at all times including full legal business name, authorized contact person, mailing address, telephone number, and a valid email address. Your data may be subject to verification by Aucster staff at any time.
The Elite eBayer® seal is displayed in eBay® auction listings and "About Me" pages. You must click-through to a member profile to verify the status of the account. Consumers must take note of the browser URL to ensure a member's profile begins with http://www.aucster.com. Although Aucster strives for accuracy when verifying member data, Aucster cannot guarantee data or insure your transactions with our members at any time.
Each user agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless for any losses resulting from any use or attempted use of our services in violation of this Agreement. Our services are only available for lawful purposes. Applicable state or federal laws and regulations may limit our services.
You agree that your use of our services is at your sole risk. Our services are provided on a strictly "as is" basis. We do not provide any warranties.
We may suspend or terminate your use of our services at any time, without notice for any reason, in our sole discretion. We reserve the right to change this Agreement at any time.
